✅ Is your edible ink really safe? What certifications do you have?
Yes, absolutely. Every EVEBOT printer uses 100% food-grade edible ink. Our ink is:
- FDA-compliant (United States)
- Halal-certified, vegan, and gluten-free
- Independently tested by SGS for food safety and hygiene
- Compliant with the EU food safety framework
- Compliant with Japan's Food Sanitation Act (Article 370)

🔬 What ingredients are in the brown edible ink (PB1)?
Primarily water, glycerol (E422, 26.8%), and ethanol (E1510, 12.3%), with trace food colourants — Tartrazine (E102, 0.4%), Brilliant Blue FCF (E133, 0.5%), Sunset Yellow FCF (E110, 0.4%) — plus polysorbate 20 (E494, 0.2%). All ingredients are EU-approved food additives. Full documentation available upon request.
⏳ How long do ink cartridges last? What is the shelf life?
- Unopened: 12 months from production date.
- After activation: Use within 6 months for best print quality.
The date on the cartridge is a quality reference, not a safety cut-off. If you receive a multi-pack with varying dates, use the nearest-date cartridge first.
📄 Can I print on surfaces other than food?
Yes. Edible ink works on porous non-food surfaces — paper napkins, cardboard sleeves, menu cards, event placeholders. For permanent marking on non-porous materials (metal, glass, plastic), we recommend our PrintInd solvent-ink printer.
🖐️ Can I use edible ink for temporary skin marking?
Edible ink is gentler than solvent-based inks for temporary skin decoration. However, we do not market any EVEBOT product as a cosmetic or skin-contact device. If you choose this use, do a small patch test first — especially for sensitive skin.
🎛️ Operation & Everyday Use
👩🍳 Do I need to train my staff? Is it difficult to use?
No technical training is needed. All desktop models feature a 7-inch touchscreen — scan a QR code, position the image, press print. Most staff are comfortable within 5–10 minutes. The EVEBOT Smart adds a built-in camera with live preview for perfect alignment. Video guides on our User Guide blog.
📱 Do I need an app to print?
- Desktop printers (PRO, FC1, Mini): No app — QR code upload, touchscreen control.
- EVEBOT Smart: No app — direct Wi-Fi, built-in 3.5" touchscreen.
- PrintPen: Yes — free EVEBOT SNAP app (App Store / Google Play).
🖼️ Can I print my own logos and photos, or only built-in designs?
You can print anything you want — company logos, customer selfies, event graphics, QR codes, personalised messages. There is no lock-in to a design library.
🍰 What foods can I print on?
Foam-topped beverages: latte, cappuccino, nitro cold brew, craft beer foam, cocktails. Flat solid foods: macarons, cookies, cakes, marshmallows, bread. The key is a relatively flat, dry surface.
📏 What is the maximum print area for each model?
- PRO, FC1, Mini: Circular up to 10 cm diameter — fits most coffee cups.
- EVEBOT Smart: Rectangular 5 × 10 cm — double the space of typical portable printers.
- PrintPen: 2.6 cm maximum width, flexible length — ideal for small logos and text.

🔢 How many prints per cartridge? What is the cost per print?
- PRO: ~1,000 prints/cartridge

🛒 Where do I buy replacement cartridges?
Always available on our Ink & Accessories page. We keep stable inventory in our Netherlands warehouse for fast EU delivery, and ship worldwide from China.
🚫 Can I use the same cartridge across different models?
No. Each model uses cartridges specifically designed for its printhead. Desktop cartridges are not interchangeable with portable ones. Always use the cartridge labelled for your model.
🧹 How do I maintain and store ink cartridges?
Desktop printers: Wipe the printhead gently with a soft, lint-free cloth before each use. For storage >1 week, remove the cartridge and place it in its protective clip.

📦 Standard vs ✈️ FedEx Express — what's the difference?
- Standard (default): Taxes included (DDP) in eligible regions. We handle customs — you pay nothing extra.
- FedEx Express (worldwide): Faster (~5–7 days), but buyer pays all import taxes, VAT, and customs fees directly to FedEx. Contact us to request it.
📍 Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll receive a tracking number by email. Track on our Order Tracking page or the carrier's website.
⚠️ I need my order by a specific date — can you guarantee it?
Our delivery estimates are guidelines, not guarantees. If you have a deadline (event, trade show, launch) — contact us before ordering via WhatsApp or service@evebot.es. We'll recommend the fastest method for your location. If delivery can't meet your timeline, we'll notify you before processing and offer a full refund.
🛡️ Warranty, Returns & Troubleshooting
🛠️ What warranty comes with EVEBOT printers?
All printers include a 2-year warranty — free service, replacement parts, and shipping for non-human-caused malfunctions. Cartridges are consumables; once opened, covered only for severe manufacturing defects. Damage from misuse or non-EVEBOT cartridges is excluded.
↩️ What is your return and refund policy?
Returns accepted per our Refund Policy. Items must be in original condition and packaging. Refunds go to your original payment method. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless due to a defect or our error.
🖨️ Print quality is poor — streaks, wrong colours, missing spots.
Usually a clogged printhead. Try:
- Clean the printhead — gently wipe the nozzle with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Run a test print — check if resolved.
