Tips for Using EVEBOT Ink Cartridges

Tips for Using EVEBOT Ink Cartridges

As we know, the EVEBOT coffee printer series cartridges and PrintPen cartridges are containers that store edible ink. The metal plate at the bottom of the cartridge is referred to as the printhead. The printhead contains many nozzles.

The diameter of a nozzle is approximately the same as a human hair. Therefore, the printhead on the EVEBOT edible ink cartridge is a precision component.

Maintenance Tips

Tip 1: Wipe the Printhead

Occasionally wipe the printhead with a soft paper, such as common restaurant napkins. Avoid using cloths, as they often carry dust.

Why Wipe?

The nozzles remain moist until the ink runs out. When exposed to air for long periods, the ink can mix with dust, leading to dried residues on the printhead.

Important Note: For edible ink, it is recommended to wipe the printhead daily to maintain hygiene and safety. For frequently used EVEBOT Coffee Printers, you can directly wipe under the printer without removing the edible ink cartridge.

If you prefer to remove the cartridges from the Coffee Printer for cleaning, navigate to "Settings -> Maintenance" and click "Reset" to move the cartridge to a position suitable for removal. Open the lid to take out the cartridge.

Tip 2: Store Properly

If you won’t be using the edible ink for an extended period (like 3 days), place it back in the clip. Regardless of the EVEBOT ink you are using, putting it back in the clip extends the ink's lifespan.

Tip 3: Check Ink Flow

How can I confirm that I've wiped properly? After wiping, press the printhead of the cartridge onto a piece of paper and gently press it down. Check for a completed stripe.

This means that, as mentioned earlier, there are many nozzles on the printhead, each serving as an ink outlet. If the paper is pressed against the nozzles and ink is flowing, you should see an intact strip left on the paper.

For example, the printhead of the PrintPen has a row of nozzles, so you should see a strip of approximately 2.6 cm of ink. The printhead of the EVEBOT Coffee Printer PRO (FB2) features two rows of nozzles, resulting in 2 ink strips. Meanwhile, the FC1 color food printer's printhead has 3 rows of nozzles for red, yellow, and blue colors, displaying three ink strips.

What to Do If Ink Won't Print? Wiping Doesn't Work? Color Not Right?(For Coffee Printers Series, PrintPen, and PrintPods Cartridges)

Reason: If the cartridge is not used for several days, dust from the environment can mix with the ink and solidify on the surface of the nozzles. This leads to poor printing results. For color cartridges, it may manifest as a missing color. For example, an image that should be blue might print as green.

Solution: Soak the printhead in hot water at around 60°C (140°F) for about 4 minutes. During soaking, gently move the printhead in the water to clean it effectively. After 4 minutes, use a paper to wipe the printhead again and check.

Tip 4: How to Resolve Blurry Printing?

To achieve clear printing results, follow these guidelines:

Image Description
Ink Flying Diagram The principle of inkjet imaging: nozzles spray ink onto the surface. Shorter distances lead to clearer prints.
Coffee with Level Surface For tabletop coffee printers, ensure the drink's surface is level with the cup's rim for optimal results.
Printing on a Burger Printing on food like burgers demonstrates the importance of surface density and texture for clarity.

Key Factors for Clarity:

  1. Distance Control: Desktop Coffee Printers adjust automatically, but ensure the liquid surface is as flat as possible. For handheld devices like PrintPen, maintain a manual distance of around 5 mm for best results.
  2. Surface Density: Consider the density and texture of the "paper" equivalent. For beverages, a stable and fine foam offers better clarity. Experiment with different milk types if needed.

Taxes, Shipping & Returns

Taxes & Customs Duties: Prices on our site are exclusive of taxes. Upon arrival, local customs may charge VAT, duties, or brokerage fees based on your country’s regulations. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.

Your final cost is calculated as:
Amount paid on our site + (Invoice amount × Local tax rate) + Possible Customs brokerage
